From Bellows' Field

Trees, greens, a view of the sea and cows dotted the landscape of George Bellows' field.

From Bellows' Field  oil study  6x8

Some of us went there to paint, but rain ruined the work. Here is another painting after revisiting about five years later. See it on view now at the Conanicut Island Art Association exhibit "Painterly," at Jamestown Philomenian Library at Town Hall on Narragansett Avenue through May 11.

If you plan to be at TF Green Airport before May 9, please visit GreenSpace Gallery (next to Arrivals) where seven paintings of mine and about a dozen more of two other artists greet visitors to Rhode Island.

Please view more work at my website and at the link to DailyPaintWorks on the right.
Thank you!

Blue Grass

Blue Grass -Late afternoon clouds billow with sun-struck tops and reflected in a rain puddle, bare trees showing off white and lighter tree trunks, the greenish grass changing to blue to unite with the wet street pavement. I love being 'alla prima' master of my universe! $100 puts it on your wall in a little 7x5"frame. (no tax, free shipping) A perfect hostess gift!

Mark, Astern to Port

Mark Astern to Port -- a favorite marine subject as we begin to think about getting back on the water though spring seems far away -- a study for a larger work, oil on canvas panel, 6x8" $100

I will post the larger work on my website.
Thank you for looking at my painting. My work keeps me balanced on an unsettled sea. I am thankful to have this creative outlet and hope it also brings you calm and comfort.
